The Customs department would like to notify that those persons or customs clearing agents who would like to act as customs representatives in terms of legal notice 14 of 2016 may now apply at the Customs Secretariat Office.
Prospective applicants should fill in Form 13 annexed to the legal notice and submit it to the Customs Secretariat Office together with the relevant documentation listed in the notice.
Access to the Import and Export systems will be granted once all the requested information is available to the department.Authorised customs representatives are reminded that access to lodge customs declarations on behalf of third persons does not entitle the holders of the authorisation to load/unload goods in Customs controlled areas.
