Cancellation request – National Import System (NIS)

The cancellation of a declaration that may be requested through the system is one of the new features introduced in the National Import System.

The Customs Department would like to inform all economic operators that with immediate effect and due to the sheer abuse and misuse of this feature, it is now no longer available.

Until further notice, any requests for cancellation may only be approved by Director Compliance and Systems ([email protected]) or Assist. Director Landing and Releasing ([email protected]).

The Department would also like to remind you that authorisation of the undersigned or Mr Carmel Fabri for the creation of declarations outside the manifest is also solicited. (except for all EU declarations and ex-warehouse).
