The Customs Department has the pleasure to inform Economic Operators that a series of Binding Tariff Classification Courses are scheduled to be held between the last week of February and the last week of March 2019.
These courses will give detailed guidelines for the Interpretation of the legally binding Combined Nomenclature, the Harmonised System Explanatory Notes (HSEN) and the Combines Nomenclature Explanatory Notes (CNEN) which support the Combined Nomenclature, the Binding Tariff Information legally binding decision, the importance of the product literature, how to classify goods and EU Regulations. All are important tools that should be used by economic operators for the correct classification of goods when submitting Customs declarations through the National Import System and the National Export System. Trainers from the Customs Department will deliver the course.
Interested Economic Operators should fill in the application form and submit it by not later than the 15th February 2019, to the Customs Training Unit on email address [email protected] Applications will be processed on a first-come first-served basis. An invitation e-mail will be sent to those applicants who show interest outlining details of course agenda.
