The Customs Department is doing its utmost to do what is necessary to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
In view of this prevailing situation arising out of Covid-19, the Department would like to inform all Economic Operators that as from Monday, 23rd March 2020 until further notice, processing of the transit documents (T1), inward and outward applications, end-use and temporary admissions (TA) together with the booking of export consignments selected for physical inspection will only be accepted and processed electronically. Therefore, you are kindly being requested to send your request together with the scanned application (where applicable) to the generic email account [email protected].
In essence, this means that the Special Procedures Unit (SPU) will assist in person exporters or their customs clearing agents who would need processing of T2L’s, EUR1 and ATR certificates only because they require an original signed and stamped certificate.
