As per Commission Implementing Regulation 2019/2072, used (2nd hand) Agricultural Machinery coming from all third countries and including the United Kingdom are subject to phytosanitary controls and will require a Phytosanitary Certificate including an additional deceleration stating that the machinery is cleaned and free from soil and plant debris.
These imports will be inspected and subject to import control fees and will need to be entered into TRACES by the importer at least 48hrs before the consignment arrives.
Such commodities are inspected and controlled by the Plant Protection Directorate and aims to not introduce any harmful organisms that effects plants and trees into the Maltese Islands.
