The 26th of January is an important day for all customs organisations as it celebrates International Customs Day where, customs officials’ efforts in providing safe and smooth trade functioning across international borders are recognized.
Today, Customs Malta joins other international customs organisations in celebrating this important day to recognize the hard work its employees put into their day-to-day duties which ensure effective trade management.
The Commissioner for Revenue, Mr Caruana and The Director General for Customs, Mr Magri would like to take this day as an opportunity to thank all Customs employees for their relentless dedication and efforts. On this day, Malta Customs employees’ roles and exemplary service are being celebrated and given their merited praise.
Customs Malta joins the WCO in dedicating International Customs Day, 2023 to nurturing the next generation by promoting a culture of knowledge-sharing and professional pride in Customs. In this regard, the Department, together with its international counterparts, is committed towards building a better future for all in the face of the ever-evolving global challenges.
