Subject:  Important Update on The Valuation Procedure for Imports of Second-Hand Vehicles

We would like to inform you of a significant update regarding the valuation procedures for submitting import declarations of imported second-hand vehicles. Effective from Monday, 5^th  August 2024, there are new requirements that must be adhered to ensure compliance and smooth processing.

All import declarations must be validated by the National Import System (NIS) before they are presented to the Valuation Office.  Ensure that all supporting documents are uploaded to the NIS.  In cases where the value is lifted by the Valuation Office, it will be the responsibility of the releasing officer to amend the value during the inspection report stage. 

This means that the Valuation Office will no longer accept import declarations in draft status.  Only validated import declarations will be processed.
