There are 3 categories of Previous Administrative References; Summary Declaration, Initial Declaration and Previous Document

Doc. Type [Conditional]

Document Type refers to the type of document preceding import to a third country/dispatch to a Member State. In ex-Warehousing declarations, the type will be BWA (bonded Warehouse Account).

The document ID and/or number must be entered in this field. If consignment is arriving via sea it will be the Bill of Lading and air will be the Airway Bill. In ex-Warehousing declarations, the Local Reference Number (LRN) for the warehousing entry must be entered followed by the item number which will be taken out of the Warehouse (ex 2017600765284/1).

When consignment is manifested then this field is pre-populated and cannot be altered through the NIS.
