21st October 2013  – A Romanian man was jailed for 14 years, and fined €25,000, for conspiring to bring into Malta a kilogram of cocaine worth €45,000. It had a purity of 35.4%. The Romanian was arrested upon arrival in Malta on a flight from Amsterdam and the drug was found in a false compartment in his luggage.
