3rd October 2013 – A 24 year old Slovak man was jailed for nine years, and fined €25,000, after being found guilty of entering Malta with 780 grams of heroin. The heroin with a purity of 36% had an estimate street value of €35,874. He had been arrested at the airport after flying to Malta from the Netherlands via Brussels.
