In less than 24 hours, between yesterday evening and early today in the morning, Customs Anti-Money Laundering officials discovered over 28,000euros of undeclared cash in two separate cases.

One passenger arriving from the middle-east was discovered to be carrying 17,520 euro which were stashed in several envelopes and hidden in the in-seem of his luggage. 

Another passenger, departing also to the middle east early this morning, was also discovered carrying undeclared cash. Searches resulted in the elevation of 10,420 euro.

These are yet another two examples of the hard work the newly established Customs Anti-Money Laundering Team is putting out to combat undeclared cash movement through our borders
