Press Release: €0.07/ litre reduction on fuel prices – Refund to Fuel Stations

As announced by Government, through a Press Release on the 8th of June 2020, the price of fuel is being reduced, with effect from 15 June 2020, by 7 cents (seven cents) through a corresponding decrease in taxes on these commodities.

In this vein, stock of unleaded petrol and gasoil at every fuel station as on Sunday 14th June 2020, 24:00 hours, is subject to refund of 7 cents (seven cents) per litre.

Every fuel station is to submit to its supplier a refund claim on such stock. Refund claims without endorsement by the Regulator (REWS, Regulator for Energy & Water Services) shall not be processed.

Kif ħabbar il-Gvern, permezz ta’ Avviż għall-iStampa fit-8 ta’ Ġunju 2020, il-prezz tal-fuel, mill-15 ta’ Ġunju 2020, qed jorħos b’7 ċenteżmi (seba’ centeżmi) permezz ta’ roħs fit-taxxi fuq dawn il-prodotti. B’hekk, l-istokk ta’ unleaded petrol u gasoil f’kull pompa tal-fuel, f’nofs il-lejl tal-Ħadd, 14 ta’ Ġunju 2020, hu suġġett għal rifużjoni ta’ 7 ċenteżmi (seba’ ċenteżmi) kull litru.

Kull pompa ta’ fuel għandha tibgħat lil min jissuplixxiha t-talba għal rifużjoni fuq dan l-istokk. Talbiet għal rifużjoni li ma jkunux verifikati u ffirmati mir-Regolatur (REWS, Regulator for Energy & Water Services) ma jiġux ipproċessati.
