Commodity Codes

21.1 Combined Nomenclature Code [Box 33.1] [Mandatory]

The 8 digit code corresponding to the goods item declared.

21.2 TARIC additional codes [Box 33.3] [Conditional]

A Combined Nomenclature code may require TARIC additional code(s).  Additional codes serve to add more specific information to the Combined Nomenclature code declared.  The system will automatically generate the first and second additional code fields of the related TARIC additional codes, if any, for the user to choose the applicable one.

21.3 National additional code [Box 33.5] [Conditional]

A national additional code adopted by Customs, corresponding to the item declared.  Currently none exist in export.

21.4 Commodity description [Automatic]

The commodity description is automatically generated from the TARIC database.
 
21.5 Supplementary Unit [Box 41] [Conditional]

The quantity of the item declared, expressed in the unit laid down in Union legislation, as published in TARIC.  The system will automatically generate the unit, if any, required for the Combined Nomenclature code declared.
  
Example 1:
In case of CN code 61091000 Supplementary Units must be declared as the Actual Quantity.

Example 2:
In case of CN code 24030000 the result of Supplementary Units is the Actual Quantity divided by 1000

Example 3:
In case of CN code 7114100 the result of Supplementary Units (g) is the Net Quantity (Kg) multiplied by 1000
